We have got a boy, and I mean BOY, on our hands. Whew. I tell you. We're sitting at a Starbucks in Dulles airport waiting for our final leg to Charlotte this afternoon, and Mr. Markos David Sprinkle is about as active a two-year-old as I've ever met. Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that he slept about 14 of the 18 hours we were on the plane from Addis Ababa to DC! He's experiencing many firsts today, and he's clearly eager to keep the string alive leading his mom all over the airport while I type. This is gonna be fun.
The trip in its entirety was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we can't wait to share our stories, photos, and videos. For the next 24 hours, however, we just want to get home and settle in a bit. Thanks to our family for making this so easy on us. Thanks to our friends for all your love and support. Can't wait to introduce you all to Markos.

Meet Roxie
Roxie turns 9 in November of 2011. Although she has had to work hard her entire life to learn basic skills like sitting up or using her hands, she is a happy little girl. Roxie has Mitochondrial Disease which has resulted in profound hypotonia, epilepsy, sensory integration disorder, cortical vision impairment, and fragile health. She loves music, her family, and interacting with other children.

CAN'T WAIT to meet him and see all of you! Sounds like he will fit right in with T&A. Touch base with us after you settle in. We'll bring food, toys; clean dishes, toilets; take the girls to the park; whatever!

Ok Sprinkle Family...We need updates on all your beautiful children. Any thing new with Roxie? How's McRae enjoying being the "middle" child? What does Marcos think of his beautiful sisters? I can only imagine how busy life must be but don't forget how there are those of us who check our favorite blogs every day just waiting for the next chapter. Take care!
