This weekend, we planted a tree in the mountains. Roxie rode along to help us pick out the tree (a red maple), and she had fun watching as her sister, mom, and I planted the tree in the front (the "back" if you ask my dad or uncle) of the house late Saturday afternoon. Here's a photo of Kate and Roxie posing with our new tree, the first of many we hope to plant in the years to come.

Kate, we planted 3 new trees in our yard this past year - and I am so happy! It just felt good getting them in the ground and our yard looks so much nicer now that the lawn area is broken up a bit. Not to mention two of them are going to give some great shade to our house and play area when they get a little bigger! Is this on family property?
There's something special about trees :-)
